Sr Software Engineer - Feature Team

We invite an ambitious Senior Software Engineer to join the Trayd engineering features team. You’ll drive the development of key features to enhance our platform, including a referral system to support organic growth, automated billing to scale operations, and an integrated messaging ecosystem for improved communication.  As Trayd evolves, you will play a key role in expanding the engineering team and scaling the platform up. 

Trayd operates in-person five days a week in Soho, Manhattan and this role will report directly to the CTO.

We automate tedious every day tasks, eliminating over 100 hours a month of paper pushing and data reconciliation across siloed platforms. Our application is the all-in-one back-office platform covering payroll, scheduling, HR, accounting, and certifications - a $6+ billion annual opportunity

What You'll Work On:

  • Own end-to-end implementation of projects including initial scoping of features, design of product, architecture of the database, and development of the final deliverable

  • Engage directly with customers to gather feedback and shape product design.

  • Collaborate with teammates across a wide range of functions including mentoring more junior engineers

  • Ensure seamless integration with multiple third-party systems to deliver our robust fintech solutions.

What You'll Need:

  • Experience:

    • 5+ years of developer experience, preferably at a startup or in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.

  • Skills:

    • Fullstack capable with 5+ years of experience as part of a development team

    • TypeScript and Node.js experience with an emphasis on writing clean code 

    • Proficiency in React and React Native for building scalable applications with responsive and high-performing user interfaces

    • Experience architecting backend systems, modeling complex data structures, and executing secure migrations with sensitive data

  • Attributes

    • Self-starter who thrives in autonomy, ambiguity, and can adapt to changing priorities 

    • Team player with a collaborative mindset who helps up-level their peers 

    • Wear as many hats as needed to drive solutions forward and unblock the team 

    • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy given the nature of payroll

    • Previous experience working in a fast-paced startup environment

    • Familiarity with fintech, especially payroll.
